Hardly anyone knows Moldova, let alone it's capital Chisinau. Located between Romania and Ukraine, this mini-state is one of the last countries in Europe that's ruled by a communist party. Unfortunately it's also one of the poorest countries in Europe, which is mainly very visible in the rural areas. In Chisinau the streets are tidy and public transport is the most important means to go from a to b.
It's a clean city with somewhat cranky residents. But if you get them started about their wines it will be a long and good night!
