I never knew it. Bangadesh is a football nation! I arrived during the Word Cup in a city filled with football flags. Not small ones on litlle poles. Right in front of my feet.
The streetkids in this photo are part of some kind of begging scheme that I could witness clearly for some days. In response the plants ask local factories to shut down during the games and people in the city to turn off their airco's. It helps. Together the Bangadeshi watch their games.
