Majuro, Marshall Islands.

This must be the narrowest country I'll visit during this five year voyage! You can't really see it on this photo that was made in the centre of town. I made a short film further down the road where the atoll is seriously about ten meters wide. A country that's ten meters wide! I found it fascinating. The film can be watched on the Streets Youtube Channel.

An unescapable reality of living in a country that's so narrow is that there's not that much room to do all the things people do! Like deiing and being burried for instance.. Or like playing with the neighbourhood's gang. So you combine. The reality of death is very confronting if you live on the Marhall Islands, or any atoll for that matter. You'll find these small cemetaries all over the island and even in peoples front yards. They keep their dead close which I think is actually a nice idea. For the living aswell as for the dead. Right?
