Tonga, the tropical Kingdom in the Pacific. Almost unknown to the public and in that way a well kept secret. It is a quiet place, where people go about their lives easely and still mostly do what their King says. But faith comes first, it is a very Christian country.

In 2006 the people of Tonga revolted and let their voices be heard, saying it was time for more democracy in the tiny Kingdom stretched over a vast area in the South Pacific. A lot af damage was done in Nuku'Alofa, the capital of Tonga. The ruined buildings are slowly being restored and the new ruler, King George Tupou V has promised democratic reforms.

In the meantime Tonga remains an undiscovered island only to be found by travelers that are willing to go a lot of extra miles.
