In Seoul I'm staying in a Love Motel. That is exactly what you think it is. It's a hotel where you can make love. You could do the same in Holland but why would you. The youth in Seoul is forced by the high prices to live with their parents. Not exactly the best place for a "romantic" date with your lover. For Asian standards, South Korea is quite a liberal country as it comes to having sex before marriage. In large parts of the population it's accepted. But preferably not at home. Hence the Love Motels.
My Love Motel is on this picture right across the street in an alley that runs parallel to this major transit street Jonggo. The motels all have their own style. Mine has a Greek mythology-theme with pink lights, laurel leaves, naked 'Davids' and hidden Cupids in small corners. It looks like a fantasy theme park. But they are very cheap and clean which is perfect for me because I picked this street to illustrate the relaxedness of Seoul.
