Maseru

Lesotho, the Kingdom in the Sky. Completely surrounded by its huge neighbor South Africa, but a very proud independent country. Its capital Maseru is very quiet and when I arrive and start to look around for a nice place for my photo I start to get a little worried after a whole day of strolling around without success. I decide to try my luck a little bit further away from the downtown area where I bump into this interesting street side market.

I talk a lot to the guys selling these bags. It isn’t easy because they don’t speak English but we manage. Mbamba, the guy squatting, even gets his dad who does speak English tot translate for a while. This way we find out a little more about each others lives. Apparently Mbamba is quite the womanizer... And so is his dad.
