I'm in Costa Rica! One of the few places in the world that doesn't have an army. And where the credo is 'Pura Vida', real living.

It really got the crowd going...

During my four days in San José it was constantly raining. But today suddenly there was a little sun out so I took my camera and ran out to see what was happening. I didn't really like the place that I had selected for photography before so I started to look around again, hoping to find something better before the rain would return.

That's when I stumbled upon this typical scene. This afternoon the soccer match between Costa Rica and World Champion (beating the Dutch in the finals..) Spain takes place. This smart guy made up a game of penalty taking for 100 Colones a shot. It really got the crowd going! If you knock them all over you win. Of course it can't be done but it was all about the fun.

The national team did a better job than these guys.They tied the champs 2-2.
