Dominica, Roseau

Of course I was in Dominica for photos and like the rest of the Caribbean islands not much is going on. For me this may be unnerving, being a city boy, and for photography far from easy, but for the Dominicans it’s very typical for the relaxed Caribbean way of life.

When I asked why absolutely nothing was going on, a few local guys told me I should try to relax a bit more. They said I should try to photograph exactly what it was like on the island: The relaxed Caribbean lifestyle. I agreed. And tried.
