WHY?

I was almost thrown in jail here, but could bail myself out. I thought the hatchets had been buried, but the discovery of huge oil and gas fields have sparked the old political enemies. A country to keep an eye on.

WHAT?

Studying its urban planning and infrastructure, one can guess this is not an original African city. Portuguese influence is everywhere, from architecture to bureaucracy. Life is concentrated around the sea. Maputo is connected to the countryside by a ferry over the Mbuluzi river.
