Are you planning to visit a Streets of the World exhibition soon? Make your visit a truly memorable one with this unique video tour and listen to the enchanting stories behind Streets of the World!

Photojournalist Jeroen Swolfs takes you on a tour around the world through his most fascinating photos in a fun series of ten short videos and among others tells you about an exciting market in Accra where the merchandise is simply displayed on the train track, but what happens when a train comes rushing down? Be startled by the elegant position of a woman on the street of Kabul or the heroic adventure of a Georgian penguin!

How it works

Download the PDF and open the Behind the Streets – Video Walk on your phone or tablet when arriving at the exhibition. Watch the introduction, search for the right photo at the exhibition that corresponds with the video and press play. The total duration of the walk is approximately 60 minutes, but you can repeat or pause the videos as many times as you want. Some countries have included extra (video)information via links. Don’t forget to bring your headphones or earplugs so that you are able to listen carefully. 

Create your own museum experience in the living room

Don’t have time to visit the exhibition, or would you prefer to watch the Behind the Streets - Video Walk at your own pace? That’s also a possibility! You can also use the Video Walk in combination with the photo book. In that way you create your own museum experience while you don’t have to get off your sofa! In een leuke serie van tien korte video’s neemt fotojournalist Jeroen Swolfs je mee op een wereldreis langs zijn meest fascinerende foto’s en vertelt hij onder andere over de dubieuze markt in Accra, waar het marktkoopwaar gewoon wordt uitgestald op het treinspoor. Maar, wat gebeurt er als er ineens een trein aankomt? Laat je vooral ook verrassen door de elegante positie van een vrouw op straat in Kabul of het heldhaftige avontuur van een Georgische pinguïn.

Hoe het werkt

Download de PDF en open de Behind the Streets - Video Walk op je telefoon of tablet als je bij de tentoonstelling aankomt. Bekijk de introductie, zoek daarna bij het land de juiste foto uit de expositie en speel de bijbehorende video af. De wandeling duurt ongeveer 60 minuten in totaal, maar je kunt de filmpjes zo vaak herhalen of pauzeren als je wilt. Bij sommige landen is er ook extra (video)informatie opgenomen via linkjes. Vergeet niet je koptelefoon of oordopjes mee te nemen zodat je het goed kunt beluisteren.
