The Mongolians prefer to live on the plains, but climate change has forced more and more of these herdsmen to move into the towns. They bring their traditional tents (gers) and set them up as if they were still living out there, in the wild.
First you set up your tent, then you build a fence and then you start building a house. Per tradition the soil you have fenced in becomes yours. The authorities don’t seem to mind. The old nomads now dwell on tent street.
