WHY?
Canberra became the capital because Sydney and Melbourne couldn’t agree on which city was the best candidate for the title. Quite a dull centre for civil servants in a huge country where individualism seems to reign.
WHAT?
Not today though. Street performers are busking in a shopping area during the Busker Festival to add a spoonful of fun to the general greyness. The girl on the left is laughing because her friend kept walking in front of my lens.
