WHY?
Daily life in the streets can be quite like say, Tel Aviv. The young generations enjoy espresso and internet cafes like anywhere else. They are obviously able to distance themselves from the political tensions for a while.
WHAT?
Despite its reputation, Ramallah can be a relaxed place to be. I never associated Palestinians with pink bunnies. I was surprised not to find bullet holes and demonstrations.
