WHY?

Plastic bags are prohibited and the streets are kept extremely clean. Everybody works hard to push the country forward and to overcome the wounds of the past. Despite disastrous conflicts, the country has shown the stamina to resurrect.

WHAT?

The civil wars have disabled thousands of people who struggle on the streets of Kigali’s developing world. Although I didn’t want to emphasise that aspect of the country I thought it should still be part of today’s story of Kigali, a capital on the move.
