WHY?
The pope is everywhere. The Vatican is not a member of the UN but I don’t think the prelates care. They are not only independent politically, but also financially. On the right, the window that frames Pope Francis when blessing the people: Urbi et Orbi.
WHAT?
On this very day, Pope Francis invited Palestinian and Israeli leaders Mahmoud Abbas and Shimon Peres to come to the Vatican for peace talks. In the front, you see the Palestinian flag. So many coincidences for a good picture; I must have been blessed!
