WHY?
Scooters and motorbikes dominate the streets of Phnom Penh. When I was here in 2006, the people obviously didn’t have enough money for cars yet. Coming from Thailand, as I did, I was thrown back in time at least thirty years.
WHAT?
Face masks against the terrifying pollution or as a protection against diseases, or both? Despite the first impression, almost any Western product is for sale here. Cambodians are great at dealing and fixing – they almost invented street wisdom. It makes photographing in the streets a fun job, being surrounded by these hustlers.
