WHY? 

Colour, church and pride! The American vintage car and the attitudes of the men in it! Nobody’s going to make them change their minds, not them! The engine probably came from a Soviet tractor, but the image is completely untainted. For me, this represents Cuba at its best. 

WHAT? 

The Nike Swoosh shows the contradiction: for and against the US simultaneously. Capitalism versus Communism: an interesting philosophical discussion. But in daily life people just hold hands when they walk the streets of Havana, where salsa music and the smell of spicy food are all around.
