WHY?
I chose Indonesia’s modern side, the way up, with everyone going where he or she dreams to land. Huge buildings in the financial centre, where scarves and hip pony tails cross each other peacefully.
WHAT?
They still sell single cigarettes in this immensely modern (and polluted) city. The woman getting off the bus is my little homage to the French photographer Henri Cartier Bresson, who created a similar picture a long time ago.
