The streets are markets. Everybody is trying to sell something. For over 25 years, Sri Lanka suffered a civil war, ending with the country’s military defeat of the Tamil Tigers. Peace has returned and street life has regained its colourful joy.

WHAT?

Buddha supervises the activities of mankind. The chaos doesn’t seem to disturb anyone. The dog seems to profit from all the discarded food. Unlike me, Sri Lankans can forget what is around them. I admire their concentration!
