WHY?
There’s religion amidst economic activity. And terror. In 2015 a bomb exploded at this shrine. But normal Bangkok life has returned here, where praying, eating and doing business are all part of the street scene.
WHAT?
The Sky train and the temple, where people burn incense and kneel for a few minutes to pay their respects to the Buddha. Children, right out of school, join in the ritual. Yellow is the colour of the king, whom the Thai people consider to be divine.
