WHY?

The first country I visited for the Streets of the World project! The year? 2006. This is where I devised my standard composition, which you see recurring in all the project’s pictures. 

WHAT?

This is the last country in the region to say no to communism. In the federal state of Transnistria, mainly inhabited by Ukrainians and Russians, you will find Russian military, even today. Meanwhile, McDonalds has already popped up here.
